MyLastTune is operated by Virgola Limited, a company registered in New Zealand.

What we collect

  • Email address — collected when you submit your tune, used to send you a magic link to edit or delete your submission.
  • Your submission — your chosen song, optional reason ("why"), and display name. If you choose to make your submission public, it will appear in the community feed.
  • Usage data — we use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. This collects anonymised data including pages visited, device type, and approximate location. Google Analytics uses cookies.

We do not collect payment information, real names, or any sensitive personal information.

How we use your data

  • To send you a magic link to edit or delete your submission
  • To display your submission publicly if you opted in
  • To understand site usage and improve the product

We do not sell your data. We do not use your email for marketing without your explicit consent.

Third parties

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics — usage analytics. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • iTunes Search API (Apple) — song search. No personal data is shared with Apple.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data — including your submission and email address

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy [at] mylasttune [dot] app. We will respond within 20 working days in accordance with the NZ Privacy Act 2020.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you also have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Data retention

We retain your email address and submission for as long as your submission remains active. If you request deletion, we will remove your data within 20 working days.

Cookies

We use cookies for Google Analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. We do not use cookies for advertising.
